Five stories of a drop’s life

In this talk, I will give an overview of my research on the dynamics of liquid drops in five different contexts: (1) their coalescence and rebound on various liquid interfaces, (2) their quantum-like chaotic motion at the surface of a small pool, (3) their impact on plant leafs as the dominant mechanism of foliar pathogen dispersal in agriculture, (4) their sliding on networks of fibers, and (5) their role in the nectar feeding strategy of pollinators.
